Doing good better offers a structured approach to doing good more effectively.  Rather than being driven by our hearts, William MacAskill proposes that altruism should be governed by the logical processes that will enable us to help more people more effectively.  He emphasises the importance of research and experimentation over throwing a few pounds into a charity bucket and explains how, no matter how broke you think you might be, you’re still one of the richest people in the world.  Horray!
